I am a product experience designer specializing in fintech and mobile banking. From user research, information architecture, and product processes to high-fidelity interfaces and system design, I excel at transforming complex financial product logic into clear, trustworthy, and easy-to-use digital experiences.
During my time at Ant Bank and Ant Group, I worked on products related to asset management, deposits, investments, loans, transfers, rewards, and digital account opening. This experience has taught me not only to consider the usability of the interface but also to find truly viable product solutions that balance business goals, compliance requirements, technological limitations, and user needs.
By conducting user interviews, competitive analysis, behavioural observations, and problem sorting, we understand the true needs of users in their financial journey, and translate the research findings into product direction, functional requirements, and actionable design decisions.
Organising complex financial products and information hierarchies to establish a clear information architecture, user flow, and end-to-end customer journey, enabling users to better understand assets, complete transactions, and find the services they need.
Participating in the design of products such as asset management, deposits, investments, loans, transfers, rewards, and account KYC, balancing user experience, business goals, technical constraints, and compliance requirements to transform complex processes into simple and trustworthy operational experiences.
Using Figma to create wireframes, high-fidelity interfaces, interactive prototypes, and reusable components, while validating design hypotheses through usability testing and A/B testing to continuously improve product consistency, completion rates, and user experience.
I am Ho Kwun Yiu, a UI/UX Designer based in Hong Kong. With over 6 years of design experience, more than 4 of which have been focused on mobile banking and financial services, I have been involved in product experiences such as asset management, deposits, investments, loans, transfers, rewards, and digital account opening.
My design approach begins with a deep understanding of users and the problems at hand. I believe that an effective product solution is not just about organizing screens, but requires clarifying information, business rules, and operational processes, from which a clear information architecture and end-to-end user journey can be established.
Financial products often involve complex logic, technical constraints, and compliance requirements. My experience with projects such as KYC account opening, investment, and asset management has taught me to find a balance between user needs, business goals, and operational requirements, continuously validating and improving solutions through prototyping, user testing, and A/B Testing.
Before entering the fintech field, I worked as a Creative Designer, building a solid foundation in visual design and brand communication. These experiences have gradually shifted my focus from interface execution to product thinking and systematic design. I believe that good design not only makes a product look more complete but, more importantly, makes complex things easier to understand and use.
